what I remember
This past weekend was perfect. On Sunday, we went to a farm and took a hayride, and rode on a train. You should have seen Vincent! I think I'll always remember that day because of how beautiful he looked in the sun on that grass, just running. That's why I love him. He looks at everything with these new eyes and is delighted by it all.
On Monday, I didn't have to work and we went out, and he sat with me like a little man at the table in Friendly's and I was so proud to be with him. Despite all the "huge" moments in life we are all supposed to remember, these day-to-day-happenings are the ones that will stay with me more than any other. If you don't believe me, ask me when I'm eighty what color the sky was or how the air smelled and I will tell you. You can quote me on that.
